Lake Bafa, which was designated as a nature conservation area in 1994, is the most famous natural beauty of Didim. The lake, which is 30 kilometers away from Didim city center, is visited by many local and foreign tourists. Hayaletada, İkizada and Menet Islands located around it give the lake a postcard view. Lake Bafa is located in the southeast of the Büyük Menderes River Delta. The reason why it is designated as a nature conservation area is that hundreds of thousands of bird species stay here. It is possible to see many special bird species during certain periods.
