The Temple of Apollo

The Temple of Apollo is the farewell pride of all of Turkey. The temple, located in Didyma Ancient City, was built in honor of Alexander the Great. Its magnificent texture and the Medusa relief inside increase the fame of the temple. It was built with Hellenistic architectural features. It is the 3rd largest temple built for the sun god Apollo. It is one of the important prophecy centers of history. It is thought that the temple, which was unearthed during the excavations carried out by the British in 1858, consists of 124 columns.
